Collimator uses to be reached monochromatic neutron beam on sample run parallel or to improve detection resolution of diffracted beam by the sample. Soller-slit style collimator was named as Soller uses for the first time to X-ray device in 1924. This type collimator uses several thin metal plate mainly. After developing of the collimator that use film instead of thin metal plate in ISIS, film collimator is manufactured and used to neutron spectrometers in research institute such as RIS , HMI and FRM-II. HANARO developed jig for film collimator with reference to jig in FRM-II. We assembled collimator using Gd2O3-coated PET film on two faces. This film absorbs large dispersed neutron beam more than dispersion angle of the collimator while neutron beam passes collimator.
