Irradiation Hole for NAA
¡¡

¡¡

Three irradiation holes are situated inside reflector for thermal and epithermal NAA, marked by red color and named as NAA-1, 2 and 3 from the upper position in the right figure. A irradiation hole will be additionally installed at the low flux site. Neutron fluxes measured using Au-wire, Cd-tube and Ni-wire  are as follows ;

Pneumatic Transfer System(PTS)

¡¡

PTS is a facility to irradiate Rabbit containing sample capsules for a given time. For the transfer, nitrogen gas is used to reduce radioactivity level and smooth operation is possible under the pressure of 1.2 bar. Transfer time to insert and withdraw Rabbit is 9 seconds and 4 seconds, respectively. The variation of transfer time under the normal condition is less than 5 %.
